Silicone rubber with the advantages of good tensile strength, high tear strength, high temperature resistance, high duplication times and repeated use, etc. It is suitable for small products or fine and precision products which is difficult to demould. This silicone rubber is one of the products with the highest use level in the production of craftwork gifts and the shrinkage is up to 2.

Mmold silicon for resin craft using instruction
Component A is white flowing liquid and component B is the curing agent. For example, take silicone rubber of 100g and add 2g curing agent for mixing evenly (silicone rubber and curing agent must be measured accurately). After the silicone rubber and the curing agent are completely mixed, put the silicon into a vacuum machine for deairing to remove the bubbles. After deaired, pouring the liquid silicone rubber into the product to be duplicated or into the mold frame. If you don't have vacuum machine, please add 1.2% or 1.5% curing agent so that the bubbles can bubble itself. Since the less curing agent you add, the slower the mould will curdle, the bubbles will bubble out itself.

Description for addition molding silicone

HY- E640# addition molding silicone is generally named two-components silicone rubber, Part A and part B. It features an exceptional fluidity and good operability. The mixing ratio is 1:1,mainly be suitable for making molds application.

Applications for addition molding silicone,

HY- E640# addition molding silicone could be mainly used for making concrete stones, precision molds, PU molds, resin molds, gypsum casting, candle molding,for life casting, fabric finishing, seal for electronic components and solar circuit board, trademark decoration. etc.

Operation instruction of addition molding silicone:

1. Stir part A and part B with right mixing ratio (1:1) evenly. And get the mixture for vacuum-pumping. (If there is no vacuumizer, you can just pour the mixture slowly from the corner so that less bubbles caused)

2. Enclose the product (the original model) with four plastic plates or wooden plates.

3. Clean your products and brush a layer of release agent(detergent or soap water) on your product.

4. Pour the mixture with correct mixing ratio into the model frame.

After about 2-4 hours, when the silicone cured, get out the original model, and there you get a finished addition cured silicone mold .

SHELF LIFE: Twelve (12) months from date of shipment when stored at 24°C in original unopened packages.

Why does the silicone mold get burnt out?

The unsaturated resin produces great heat when added the curing agent. So you must demould the product within 3 minutes to avoid this problem.

Advantages of RTV-2 Silicone rubber : 

RTV-2 Silicone rubber as useful aslatex, but sets a lot more quickly. RTV Silicone rubber can take days tobuild enough layers of latex to create a mold, but RTV Silicone rubber can bemixed, poured and set within a matter of hours, even minutes depending on what kind of silicone you use. Siliconeis generally a lot stronger than latex and will produce more castings onaverage.

Why is thetear strength of the silicone mold weak?

In order to reduce the viscosity ofsilicone rubber and pursue a good quality, you may add a lot of silicone oilinto the silicon rubber when making molds. In fact, it might have just theopposite effect. The tension and the tear strength will be reduced badly withthe addition of silicon oil. And the silicon molds will be in a weak and flimsymanner.

(Note: our company does not recommend you to add silicon oil. If a special soft silicom mould or fine detailed and complex patterns products are required, 5% - 10% silicon oil could be added to soften the mould for easy demould.)
